3D Television is an Inevitability

January 21st, 2016 by admin

2010 was the year of 3D movies. From Alice in Wonderland released in March to the year-end release of Gulliver’s Travels, with 23 3D movies in 2010 and many more coming in 2011, one thing is for sure 3D craze is not a temporary fad. 3D is of course not a new technology. It has a used in movies since 1950s but it was James Cameron’s “Avatar” that pushed 3D firmly into the mainstream once and for all. Now, is Charter Communications ready to bring 3-D to cable televisions at home?

The last year has seen the 3D revolution hitting the consumer electronics market. From 3D-enabled Blu-ray players to laptops, it seems there’s nothing left in the tech market that is left untouched by the magic wand of 3D. 3D is also being pushed as the next big thing by TV manufacturers. They’re hyping the shift from 2D to 3D as the biggest transition consumers have seen since TV went from black-and-white to color. The year 2010 saw the bigwigs in the TV manufacturing scenario bringing their 3D enabled TV sets into the market and also many TV networks venturing into the 3D channel arena.

Japanese cable channel BS11 had already ventured into 3D programming in 2008. Continue reading ’3D Television is an Inevitability’

How Hard is It to Put in a Shower

January 21st, 2016 by admin

We are not sure what are going to do yet, but we have started thinking about doing the bath over. In fact we were thinking about it from the moment we bought the house, but obviously it was not the top priority. We have lots of bills, but in a couple of months we are going to have my pick up truck paid off. I am not going to need a new truck for a few years, so we have thought about what to do with the money. I talked to the guy with shower doors in Union county NJ. It is called Glass Plus. I Now Take Backups Seriously

January 21st, 2016 by admin

You would think that I would have learned the very first time when I lost over 10,000 digital photos and other important data when my home computer crashed. The truth is that I was being naive because it was a brand new computer that I had purchased only one month prior, so I assumed that I was safe. I also run a small business, and within only one week of the crash at home, my server at my business also crashed. It was just my luck, but it was also my own fault that I had no backup hosting service. In both situations I was trying to scrimp on what’s important, and I ended up paying a big price.

In the case of my home computer, I quickly called my network administrator, who is also my employee. Continue reading ‘I Now Take Backups Seriously’

Looking for a Place in Tampa

January 21st, 2016 by admin

I am having a pretty good time down here, but right now I am sort of living on a friend’s couch temporarily. That is not a long term solution, his girlfriend is being nice about it so far, but it is obvious that both of them would like for me to get my own place sooner rather than later. I took a ride down to check out a place called the sanctuaray at highland oaks apartments. It seems like a silly name in my opinion, but the apartments are pretty nice really. The problem is that they only have two and three bedroom places available and I need something with a one bedroom price. I am going to have to keep looking and I might have to do something on a short term basis. I also looked at one of those long term stay hotel type places. Getting Around Town in a Limo

August 14th, 2015 by admin

When my best friend told me that her boyfriend finally proposed to her, I was so happy for them both. They have had to deal with a lot in their relationship, but I knew that they were meant to be together. She asked me to be her maid of honor, and I happily accepted that honor. It did not take me long to plan a bachelorette party for her either. We have a close group of friends, and I knew that they would all want to be included in this special night. I contacted Star Night Limousine, which is a limo company not too far from where I live. Continue reading ‘Getting Around Town in a Limo’

Finding a New Place to Live

August 14th, 2015 by admin

My wife and I were thinking about moving because we felt that our family was getting too big for our one story, two bedroom home. Our kids were getting bigger and did not like the idea of sharing a room anymore. The rooms in the house were all a bit on the small side and we just wanted more space. Luckily I had gotten a promotion at my job and began saving up for this purpose. We began to browse the web when I decided to click here to check out all the different properties in the area. It can be hard finding a new place to live when you’re married because you really need to be on the same page. Continue reading ‘Finding a New Place to Live’

Thieves Pick Easy Targets and ADT Makes Your Home a Hard Target They Want to Avoid

July 24th, 2015 by admin

We used to sit on our front porch and see only a neighbor or two in the evenings walking their dogs or working in their yards. A huge field adjacent to our block was developed into a housing plan. Then the older folks in the neighborhood began dying off, and landlords bought their homes to rent them out to pretty much anyone who could afford the rent. Many of the homes were not remodeled after purchase making them low rent places. After our car had a window broken out and a GPS stolen, we decided to get ADT for the house before the thieves graduated to home burglary.

It was not long before my neighbor, who did not have a home security system, had his house burglarized while he was at work. They targeted him because they knew he worked on the river system being gone for three weeks and home for three weeks. They had full run of the place to clean him out. We work so did not see them when they were burglarizing him. Other folks on the block work day jobs too. Doing Your Part to Help Those Less Fortunate

August 20th, 2012 by admin

Ouija Board And ChristiansTimes are tough for most people these days. The global financial downturn has left us all with less money in our pockets and worried about what the future holds. Most of us are lucky; are heads are above water and we are still able to provide for our families but there are still many people in the world who won’t eat today, have a safe place to sleep tonight or have someone they can turn to. As Christians it’s our duty to help those people however we can. Not because the bible tells us so but because we have been fortunate in the gifts of the lord and we have the love in our hearts to share.

Helping those less fortunate isn’t about money or time, it’s about deciding to do the right thing and bring kindness into another life. Putting a smile on someone else’s face that is less fortunate than yourself if only for a day, an hour or even a minute gives hope and in return you will be rewarded with the satisfaction of not only doing good in this world but the joy of lightness in your own heart for helping others.

Most people think that money is the best way to help but the most rewarding donation you can ever make is of your own time. Continue reading ‘Doing Your Part to Help Those Less Fortunate’

The Reality of Christ’s True Message

August 20th, 2012 by admin

Hebrew Christian Bible by CarolinThese days, the true calling of Christians often comes into question. It seems that most politicians are fairly adamant that the word of Christ is focused on who to hate. However, it can come as a real shock to simply sit down and read the Gospels. If one approaches it with open eyes, the message there might come as a surprise. We all know, intellectually, that Christ’s word is one of love. However, the nature of it often comes as a surprise when one’s heard the Gospel as related by politicians for too long.

Basically, Christ spoke longest and most passionately about the plight of the poor and suffering. His message rarely pandered to those on the top of the social ladder. In fact, if anything he tended to be most critical of those who’ve had nothing but ease and comfort in their life.

Many of the reasons for his position become clear on reflection of Christ’s full life. Jesus was born into a fairly poor lifestyle. His growth was one often filled with doubt and concern. Continue reading ‘The Reality of Christ’s True Message’
